We have extensive experience in litigation and arbitration and the firm has represented its clients before all instances of Finnish civil and administrative courts, as well as special courts such as the Market Court of Finland.
The firm's arbitration work is an integral part of its commercial litigation practice. Although arbitration is only one means of resolving disputes, it has its own particular procedures and approaches, and offers opportunities to find creative solutions to disputes. We have extensive experience of arbitration proceedings under the auspices of major institutions world-wide, including the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the Central Chamber of Commerce of Finland and the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce. Our partners are also frequently engaged as arbitrators in major proceedings.
A new and upcoming area within dispute resolution is mediation and the firm offers the services of trained mediators to deal with disputes out of courts and with the aim of achieving a settlement agreement acceptable for both parties rather than a decision on the dispute.
